 provide an overview of the key things you need to 
 know as a trustee. The session will equip you with
  the knowledge of your responsibilities as a trust
 ee and confidence to know where to go to find out

 of individual trustees and the nature of their col
 lective responsibility\, plus some practical tips 
 about how to be effective and add value to the boa
 rd. There will also be a chance to find out more a
 bout some of the latest developments in the sector

 er has held multiple board level executive and non
 -executive leadership roles in the not-for-profit 
 and public sectors across a career spanning health
 \, social care\, housing and education. She brings
  particular skills in the fields of mental health 
 and disability\, in public policy and in the gover
 nance and regulation of public services.</span><br
  />\n  </p>\n \n <p><span style="font-size:14px\;"
 >Helen has chaired organisations ranging from NHS 
 trusts to national housing associations and social
  care providers\, a multi-academy trust and both l
 ocal and national charities and has held board app
 ointments with three Government arms-length bodies
 .</span><br />\n  </p>\n \n <p><span style="font-s
 ize:14px\;">Amongst her most recent appointments s
 he was the Chair of Shelter and the Vice Chair of 
 The What Works Centre for Wellbeing. Within Oxford
 shire she was at one time chair of OCVA itself. Sh
 e currently works with a project connecting Bullin
 gdon Prison with the local community and continues
  as a Deputy Lieutenant for the county.</span></p>
