Creating your EDI Action Plan - Well Intentioned to Well Executed

During this interactive and hands-on virtual 3.5-hour workshop, learners will develop the skills for developing and implementing an EDI action plan by building a personalised toolkit.

The Well Intentioned to Well Executed virtual workshop primes organisations to take meaningful action towards building an anti-oppressive and inclusive workplace culture.

The workshop has 3 main focus areas:

  1. A general refresher on language, frameworks, and skills,
  2. A mini assessment for where your organisation stands with their EDI efforts,
  3. Building a personalised toolkit for your EDI strategy. 

In addition, participants will discuss strategies for moving beyond intentions to action and principles for garnering engagement from stakeholders.

Who should attend?

This course is designed to suit staff, trustees, freelancers, and volunteers in the not-for-profit sector wanting to audit their equity, inclusion, and accessibility efforts and develop a toolkit for their organisation to outline their best practices. 

What will I learn?

-    Refresher for inclusion & equity basics including frameworks, language, and skills
-    Assess your EDI foundations with a mini-audit in the 6 core areas of your organisation
-    Discover the ways to engage stakeholders to improve traction and implementation of accessibility 
-    Create your organisation’s bespoke toolkit and action plan for your EDI priorities

Trainer

Anuradha Kowtha, the founder and lead strategist at The Kowtha Constellation, is a neurodivergent, disabled, queer, Indian diasporic person who currently lives in northern England. They work with organisations to improve their engagement and retention strategies for teams, clients and volunteers by embedding DEI frameworks that create an accessible environment. 

Cost:

£75 per person for OCVA Members
£90 per person from a charitable organisation who are not OCVA members
£105 per person from a non-charitable organisation

1pm - 4.30pm with breaks
