This workshop will:
- Be an opportunity to take stock of your role and approach to leading and managing in the sector.
- Review and learn some new approaches relevant to the tough and challenging times we work in.
- Outline ideas and strategies to be effective in a management role.
- Identify some personal priorities
Who should attend?
New and established managers in voluntary and community organisations interested in developing their approach to management in the sector.
What will I learn?
Topics will include:
- Understanding and managing the different demands and elements of the role
- Developing a management style that works for you and your organisation.
- Making sense of the specific challenges involved in management in the sector.
- Reviewing key challenges ahead and explore ways to tackle them
- Approaches to continued development in your management role
Trainer
The session will be led by Alan Lawrie, an experienced consultant specialising in organisational development in the sector and author of five books on different aspects of not for profit management.
Cost:
£40 per person for OCVA Members
£55 per person from a charitable organisation who are not OCVA members
£70 per person from a non-charitable organisation
Time:
9.30am - 1pm with breaks
