This interactive half-day workshop provides a practical introduction to data protection compliance, helping delegates understand their legal responsibilities and, more importantly, how to apply them confidently in real-world situations.
Using examples and scenarios relevant to the charity sector, the session will explore the key principles of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, lawful bases for processing personal data, handling data subject rights, responding to breaches, and understanding recent changes introduced through the Data Use and Access Act.
Who should attend?
This session is suitable for anyone responsible for handling personal information within a charity and voluntary organisation. Including, charity leaders and trustees, CEO's and Senior Managers, Office and HR professionals, Fundraising and Marketing staff and volunteers. No prior specialist knowledge is required.

Known as "The Data Rockstar", Kellie translates complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical, understandable guidance that organisations can implement immediately.
Kellie delivers training on UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act, the Data Use and Access Act, AI governance, information security, data breaches, subject access requests, and organisational accountability. Her approach focuses on real-world implementation, helping organisations build a positive data protection culture while demonstrating compliance with legal requirements.

£40 per person for OCVA Members
£55 per person from a charitable organisation who are not OCVA members
£70 per person from a non-charitable organisation
